International Baccalaureate Senior Dinner
The International Baccalaureate Parent Organization hosted the Mira Loma I.B. Senior Dinner, which was held on Friday, May 21, to honor graduating seniors in the International Baccalaureate Program. This event is held in honor of all Mira Loma High School senior IB students, including IB Diploma, IB Associate, and IB Certificate Candidates.
The IB Senior Dinner is a special and memorable evening to celebrate everyone who has worked so hard during the past four years. The Honorable Ken Cooley, Assembly District 8, prepared a personalized certificate for every IB Senior
There were some additional special guests in attendance from the SJUSD School Board, including Paula Villescaz (Board President and MLHS Alum Class of 2007), Pam Costa, Zima Creason, and Michael McKibbin.
Rochelle Jacks, IB Coordinator, M.C.’d the event with poise and humor. Retiring Principal Lynne Tracy gave a tearful farewell after being honored by Assemblyman Ken Cooley. Assemblyman Cooley then honored Dave Mathews, IB Coordinator Emeritus, who followed with a speech inspiring the outgoing class of 2021 as only he could do. Current MLHS teacher, Josh Stinson, representing Mira Loma Alumni & Friends Association, cracked plenty of jokes while exhorting the outgoing class to become an active alum to lift up the future graduating students.
Catering provided by Hannibals and The International Baccalaureate Parent Organization.
We hope the seniors and their families enjoyed their special day!
